Theseus and Ariadne
The hero Theseus, son of king of Athens Aegeus (in reality son of Poseidon) was offered to be one of the young people sent in Crete. In Knossos, he met Princess Ariadne and fell in love with her. Along with the help of Ariadne and of Daedalus, he managed to get in the dark Labyrinth, in order to meet Minoataur and, then after wrestling with him, he killed him. Thus, he gave an end to the tax of blood and managed to get out from the daedalic corridors of Labyrinth by using a ball of string which was given to him by Ariadne (Ariadne’s clue).
