Gold-working
Important groups, mainly of gold jewellery, have been found in the tombs of the Mesara and Mochlos, and in the cemeteries of Ai Lia Knossou and Chrysolakkos near Malia (gold pendant with bees, gold pin with a head in the shape of a flower, etc.). This same cemetery was probably the source of the famous Aegina hoard in the British Museum. Necklace beads and seals were made of gold and silver.
